Kevin Diamond is retired after 32 years in the fire service. He was assigned as a Battalion Chief and Fire Investigator for the Costa Mesa Fire and Rescue Department. During his career he came up through the ranks as a firefighter/paramedic and fire captain as well as spending 2 years as a shift training officer. Mr. Diamond was a Fire Investigator with the CMFR since 2000 and has investigated all types of accidental and criminally set fires. He served as the department's Terrorism Liaison Coordinator working closely with the county's fusion center. He currently teaches California State Fire Marshal classes on Command, Management, Fire Investigation, and other public safety courses as well as working in a cadre to teach local law enforcement Tactical Emergency Casualty Care. He has a Masters of Science in Emergency Services Management and a Bachelor’s of Vocational Education. Mr. Diamond is a licensed FAA fixed wing pilot with a helicopter rating, and a Part 107 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) pilot.
